We are looking for a Personal Support Assistant to support a 15‑year‑old young man with his morning and afternoon regimes, who lives in Seamer, Scarborough.
The hours are:
- 4 hours per week in the mornings (9 hours per fortnight)
- 10 hours a week holiday day care
Responsibilities
- Support the young man physically getting up, washing and dressing, including personal care.
- Help him make breakfast, support him eating, and accompany him into the taxi with his escort.
- During afternoons, be at his home, support him with whatever he chooses to do; supervise and provide personal care as needed.
- Holiday day care will involve taking him out to garden centres, the beach, library, swimming, and joint family days.
- Work will often be in a lively household environment.
- Build a good relationship with him through chatting, singing, and verbal interaction to make it rewarding for both.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children who have extreme or unique special needs is essential.
- DBS required.
- Access to relevant training courses is available.
Pay £13.79 per hour
