A Personal Support Assistant is required for 24 hours a week to support a 22‑year‑old autistic young man with his independence. These hours can be flexible to suit both the young man and the PA, usually Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend day.
Responsibilities include:
- Prompting, body‑doubling and support to complete domestic duties and daily living activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning the house, maintaining the garden and possibly social days out.
- Promoting independence and well‑being and providing emotional support rather than reliance.
The young man is autistic with capacity but struggles to start and finish tasks and wants to develop better routines. He enjoys motorbikes, engineering, fabrication and good music/gigs.
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour.
Looking for someone with a good sense of humour and a positive attitude to life. It is essential that you are a driver and have access to a car due to the rural location.
