We are looking for 2 to 3 Female Personal Support Assistants to help a lovely lady who is a wheelchair user due to a spinal cord injury, with her independent living.
There are 32.5 hours per week to cover mainly Monday to Friday.
The lady enjoys meeting up with friends, going to book shops, cinema, live music and theatre.
Duties
- Personal care, to help with showering, washing & drying her hair, dressing.
- Administering daily clean intermittent catheters (one morning & one early evening).
- Meal preparation.
- Cleaning.
- Accessing social and community and support whilst at University.
- Driving her automatic adapted van (no lifting required, just support).
The hours can be fairly flexible and to be agreed at interview level.
The rate of pay is £13.79 per hour with 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata).
Essential requirements
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Access to a car (due to location).
- DBS.
Experience required
Competent in female catheter procedure & familiar with spinal cord injury impact an advantage.
Applicants can be on a self employed basis if required.
