Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the executive team to drive the overall strategic planning of the agency.
  • Coordinate/lead intra-divisional meetings and Commissioner’s Office meetings and the implementation of policy objectives.
  • Prepare written communications, such as memos, letters, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and instructional documents, as needed.
  • Develop and implement protocols for briefing the Commissioner and executive team.
  • Perform complex research and prepare detailed summaries, progress and tracking reports on various programs.
  • Serve as a liaison to agency staff, other government entities and the general public and guide the Chief of Staff in decisions affecting major policy and procedural changes.
  • Prepare detailed work plans for assigned projects including the methodology for needs assessments and allocation of resources.
  • Perform various high level specialized managerial/executive functions at the Chief of Staff’s request.

Minimum Qualifications: No minimum qualifications requirements needed.

Requirement: New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
