Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on high-impact projects? This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter for NY Highways Property as we expand our Property Services team. You’ll work on a mix of capital projects and responsive maintenance across a wide range of commercial properties. From first fix to final finishes, your craftsmanship will help maintain and improve essential infrastructure across the county. This is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering capital projects and responsive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing cost forecasting, budgeting, and value comparisons
- Using contract programmes and risk registers to support project delivery
- Driving profitability and ensuring financial accuracy across all stages of a project
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver successful outcomes
- Supporting continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery
What We’re Looking For
- HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Working towards (or willing to work towards) professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICES)
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Commitment to Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the county
