What You’ll Be Doing

Across these roles, you’ll be involved in maintaining and improving North Yorkshire’s highways network, including:

  • Kerbing, drainage, paving and patching works
  • Installation and repair of street furniture
  • Traffic management and site safety
  • Operating machinery, plant and vehicles (including LGV where applicable)
  • Leading teams and delivering projects (for senior/lead roles)
  • Supporting winter maintenance and emergency response

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in highways, construction or civil engineering
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to train (e.g. traffic management, plant, safety)
  • LGV (Category C) licence (for LGV roles)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A proactive, safety-first approach
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and take part in out-of-hours rotas
