About us

Nxzen is a global technology, consulting, and engineering partner advancing the national infrastructure that society depends on. Our mission is to empower energy, utilities, and national infrastructure providers to deliver safer, smarter, and more resilient operations. Backed by leading investors, we combine deep domain expertise with engineering excellence and digital innovation to deliver measurable impact. Our solutions include NNNCo’s national-scale IoT networks, EAD’s turnkey renewable and grid energy systems, Digital Twin Simulation for real-time predictive optimisation, and N2N’s connected infrastructure platform for end-to-end asset intelligence. We help operators modernise, connect, and optimise national systems to meet performance, compliance, and net-zero goals without compromise.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex technology deployment programmes across national infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on senior delivery role for a confident and credible programme leader who thrives in fast-moving, high-ambiguity settings.

Our current programmes centre on geospatial and connected infrastructure technology, including GIS platforms, but we are as interested in your ability to translate strong delivery experience from comparable environments — enterprise technology deployments such as ERP, CRM, or field operations platforms — as we are in direct GIS expertise. What matters most is that you have led complex, multi-workstream technology programmes, can bridge the gap between technical and business change, and are comfortable building structure and rigour in a scaling organisation. This role suits a seasoned programme manager who has operated at pace within a start-up or scale-up, or who has the adaptability to do so, without compromising on delivery discipline or stakeholder confidence.

Key responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Leadership
    • Act as the senior delivery lead for large client programmes, representing Nxzen to C-suite stakeholders.
    • Maintain a visible on-site presence to build client confidence and ensure strong relationships at executive level.
    • Partner with the Client Partner to present a unified and coordinated Nxzen leadership team to the client.
  • Programme Delivery Oversight
    • Own the end-to-end delivery of one or more large-scale technology deployment programmes, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality across multiple concurrent workstreams.
    • Lead integrated planning across technical and business change workstreams, maintaining alignment between delivery teams, product leads, and client or operational stakeholders.
    • Establish and operate robust programme governance, including steering forums, RAID management, dependency mapping, and executive-level reporting.
    • Translate complex technical delivery into clear, actionable narratives for senior and non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
    • Drive programme mobilisation from initiation through to delivery and handover, including resourcing, onboarding, and governance set-up.
    • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies, escalating with recommended solutions rather than problems.
    • Champion nxzen delivery standards and 'what good looks like' across planning, reporting, and project management practice.
    • Work closely with internal practice leads, partners, and client teams to shape delivery approaches and embed best practice.
    • Support the growth of delivery capability within Nxzen, contributing to ways of working, tooling, and team development.
  • Team & Delivery Management
    • Champion a collaborative culture between teams, removing blockers and fostering accountability.
    • Ensure that appropriate resources, capabilities, and structures are in place to meet delivery commitments.
  • Commercial & Strategic Accountability
    • Safeguard programme margins and profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance value for the client and Nxzen during programme delivery.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement in programme management processes and frameworks across Nxzen.

  • Strong capability across multi-workstream programme planning, governance design, and delivery assurance.
  • Proven ability to operate across both technical and business change workstreams, bridging the gap between delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with limited precedent while able to build structure and momentum from the ground up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear executive reporting and materials for governance forums.
  • Confident, credible, and pragmatic with the ability to hold delivery teams to account while maintaining strong working relationships.
