The UK IoT Lead will be responsible for shaping, building, and delivering nxzen’s IoT offerings in the UK market. Acting as both consultant and solution architect, you will drive pre-sales, solutioning, and delivery for major clients while building out the capability, partnerships, and team to scale rapidly. You will lead senior client engagements, define IoT growth strategies for target utilities and infrastructure organisations, and represent nxzen as a credible subject-matter leader.
The role owns end-to-end solution design across IT/OT integration, devices, networks, platforms, and analytics, ensuring solutions are commercially sound, scalable, and aligned to nxzen’s offshore delivery model. You will develop a UK IoT consulting and delivery team, forge strategic relationships with device, platform, and integration partners, and work closely with internal teams to enable rapid scaling. Success in this role requires strong consulting acumen, technical depth, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a sharp commercial focus.
The IoT Lead is responsible for supporting Client Partners and campaign leads to sell, solution and manage the teams to deliver IoT pre-sales (such as pilots) and project activity through to successful delivery. This includes close collaboration with our NNNCo colleagues based in Australia and the UK, plus any other Practices needed for the end-to-end solution (e.g. Data and AI, Cyber). We envisage the UK IoT business will grow, and the Lead will help build the team. They will also work as a key member of the OT team to shape and deliver solutions that combine GIS, OT and IoT.
Key responsibilities:
- Shape and deliver nxzen’s IoT agenda in the UK, combining business growth, solution leadership, and capability building.
- Lead consulting and pre-sales engagements with senior stakeholders across major utilities and infrastructure clients.
- Develop targeted IoT growth strategies and shape compelling proposals and commercials alongside Client Partners.
- Own end-to-end solution design across IT/OT integration, networks, devices, platforms, and analytics.
- Ensure solutions are both client-centric and aligned to nxzen’s offshore delivery model.
- Build and lead a UK IoT consulting and delivery team.
- Forge strategic ecosystem partnerships and closely integrate with nxzen’s offshore centres of excellence.
- Develop and deliver IoT growth strategies aligned to nxzen’s UK target markets (e.g., Southern Water, United Utilities, other major utilities).
- Represent nxzen’s IoT capability in the market and build credibility as a subject-matter leader.
- Foster strong collaboration with nxzen’s offshore centres of excellence.
- Support Client Partners and campaign leads to sell, solution and manage the delivery of IoT pre-sales activities and full project implementations.
- Coordinate and integrate contributions from NNNCo colleagues in Australia and the UK, as well as other Practices to deliver cohesive, end-to-end IoT solutions.
- Act as a key member of the OT team to shape and deliver converged solutions that combine GIS, OT and IoT for UK clients.
- Contribute to and execute plans that grow IoT-driven UK revenues through the identification, design, deployment and run of scalable IoT solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- A senior IoT leader with a consulting-first background, deep IT/OT expertise, and a strong track record in UK utilities and infrastructure.
- End-to-end understanding of IoT solutions across devices, networks, and platforms, plus hands-on experience navigating the UK device supply chain, procurement, and large-scale integration.
- Highly client-facing, commercially sharp, and comfortable working with offshore/nearshore teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the energy and vision to build and scale a new IoT practice.
- Deep practical exposure to IT/OT convergence in operational environments.
- Strong familiarity with UK hardware vendors, distributors, and logistics routes.
- Experience shaping and de-risking complex device and connectivity rollouts.
- Trusted advisor status with utilities/infrastructure stakeholders, from operations to C-suite.
- Ability to attract and mobilize specialist talent through an established network.
- Comfortable coordinating mixed onshore/offshore delivery teams and models.
- Existing relationships with key UK utility accounts (e.g., Southern Water, United Utilities).
- Experience partnering with Client Partners on solution design, planning, and commercials.
- Clear view on the building blocks, partners, and internal support needed to scale IoT rapidly.
- Enjoys being front-of-house with clients, not only in internal or technical roles.
- Strong commercial judgment in shaping, pricing, and negotiating IoT solutions.
- Naturally credible voice in the IoT market, aligned to nxzen’s purpose and brand.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams spanning IoT, OT, GIS, Data & AI and Cyber, and collaborating with international colleagues to deliver end-to-end IoT solutions.
