NXTGEN are working with a leading organisation to recruit a Finance Manager into their established finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys a broad and varied role, working closely with senior leadership to provide key financial insights. The successful Finance Manager will also lead a small team, driving process improvements and ensuring strong financial controls across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts, cashflow and debtor analysis
- Oversee payroll, VAT, HMRC, and pension returns
- Manage annual budgets, forecasts and year-end accounts preparation
- Provide financial insight, variance analysis, and recommendations to senior management
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Maintain strong relationships with auditors, pension providers, banks, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls across the organisation
What We're Looking For:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent); fully qualified accountant desirable
- Strong background in finance, with experience of payroll, VAT, and HMRC returns
- Proven track record in management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent IT skills with strong Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to explain financial detail in a wider business context
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levels
- Flexible, detail-focused and able to work on your own initiative
- Experience within the charity or public sector would be highly desirable
