NXTGEN is working exclusively with a long-standing and successful accountancy firm in Halesworth to recruit a Personal Tax Manager. This is a brand-new position, created as a result of continued growth and success within the business, and offers the rare opportunity to shape the role around your strengths and career ambitions.
With a strong and varied client base, including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses (OMBs), and clients with complex IHT considerations, this is a truly exciting opportunity for a Personal Tax Manager to take ownership of a broad and interesting portfolio. While the role will span both personal and corporate tax areas, there will be a clear weighting towards personal tax, aligned to the needs of the local client base.

Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of clients, with a particular focus on high-net-worth individuals, OMBs, and complex personal tax matters.
- Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services across personal and corporate tax areas.
- Advise clients on inheritance tax planning, trusts, wealth structuring and succession planning.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser on all tax-related matters.
- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff and provide technical support and mentoring where needed.
- Collaborate with the wider team and Partners to identify opportunities to add value to clients.
- Support business development efforts and help drive further growth of the tax offering.
- CTA qualified, ACA/ACCA also beneficial - At least 3 years post qualification.
- Strong experience in personal tax, within a practice environment.
- Proven ability to manage a varied portfolio of clients.
- Confident in advising on IHT, trusts, and estate planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted client relationships.
