NXTGEN are working with a highly regarded accountancy practice that is continuing to grow and is now looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team. With an increasing client base and exciting plans for the future, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their career within practice. You will work closely with an experienced team, gain exposure to a variety of businesses and be given the support and guidance needed to continue progressing.
The Role:
- Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting clients with their bookkeeping needs
- Supporting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Developing strong working relationships with clients and providing ongoing day to day support
- Working closely with senior members of the team across accounts preparation and wider client assignments
- Gaining exposure to a broad range of sectors and developing your technical knowledge
About You:
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
- AAT qualified, currently studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA, or qualified through relevant experience
- Experience using cloud based accounting software, particularly Xero
- Confident communication skills and a strong focus on delivering a great service to clients
- A proactive and motivated approach, with a genuine desire to learn and progress your career within practice
