Nxtgen are proud to be working with a thriving Accountancy Practice. This firm are looking for someone to join their collaborative audit team as an Audit Assistant Manager, with a genuinely diverse and impressive client portfolio. As Audit Assistant Manager you will work with many clients, from household names across East Anglia, to others based throughout the UK and overseas, offering real variety and exposure to interesting, high-quality work. You as Audit Assistant Manager will be encouraged to broaden your skills, take ownership of your work and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

You will lead smaller audit engagements and support on larger, more complex assignments, with audit work making up around sixty five percent of the role. Alongside this, the Audit Assistant Manager will be involved in accounts preparation and provide support on corporation tax matters for a varied portfolio of clients. You will work closely with clients, taking a hands-on approach to audit planning and delivery, while being supported by experienced managers and partners in a positive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading small audit assignments from planning through to completion
Assisting on larger audit engagements as part of a wider team
Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
Supporting on corporation tax compliance and related queries
Building strong client relationships through regular communication
Contributing to audit planning and risk assessment
Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver work to deadlines
Taking part in ongoing learning and development within the teamYou will have a proven background in audit within a UK accountancy practice and be confident in a client facing role. xiskglj You will be ICAEW or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience, with a good working knowledge of accounts preparation under UK GAAP. Exposure to corporation tax would be beneficial, as would experience using CCH Accounts or similar software
