Accounts Assistant

This is a fantastic new Accounts Assistant role for anyone looking to gain broad experience across accounts and tax preparation, while also developing strong client relationships. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with some of the most well thought of and experienced seniors and managers to build your technical skills and confidence.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.
• Assist with VAT returns and management accounts.
• Support bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant.
• Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and helping to resolve any issues.
• Work closely with senior accountants, supporting them on client advisory work.

• Ideally 1-2 years' experience working in a practice environment.
• Would consider candidates from industry, but you must be keen to progress your career in practice and enjoy working with local clients.
• Ideally prior experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
