NXTGEN is working with a modern and forward-thinking Accountancy Practice based in Ipswich to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their growing Business Services team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.
  • Assist with VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Support bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant.
  • Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and helping to resolve any issues.
  • Work closely with senior accountants, supporting them on client advisory work.
What the client is looking for:
  • Ideally circa 2 years' minimum experience working in a practice environment.
  • Would consider candidates from industry, but you must be keen to progress your career in practice and enjoy working with local clients.
  • Has ideally got your AAT Level 4 or working towards.
  • Ideally prior experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
  • Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
