NXTGEN are partnering with a highly successful, internationally operating organisation based in Great Yarmouth to support the appointment of a Financial Controller. This is a key strategic hire for the business and offers a clear and realistic pathway into a Finance Director position as the group continues through an exciting phase of expansion. Working closely with the Managing Director and wider group leadership, the successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the financial strategy of the business.
This position provides the opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a fast-growing, globally focused group, where progression into a Finance Director role is firmly part of the medium-term plan. The Financial Controller will take full ownership of the finance function, combining strong technical expertise with commercial insight to influence decision-making at board level. With regular exposure to the Managing Director and close collaboration across the wider group, this role offers exceptional visibility, responsibility and long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the finance function, acting as a commercially focused partner to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team
- Produce timely and insightful management accounts, budgets and forecasts, delivering analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making
- Deliver accurate statutory, group and corporate reporting in line with business and stakeholder requirements
- Drive commercial insight across the business, identifying risks, opportunities and value-creating initiatives to support ongoing group growth
- Manage, mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Act as a trusted advisor within the SLT, constructively challenging assumptions and influencing outcomes
- Ensure financial controls, processes and systems are robust, scalable and aligned with the needs of an expanding international group
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller/finance leadership role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial acumen
- Experience delivering statutory, group and corporate reporting
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work with the Managing Director and SLT
