NXTGEN is excited to partner with a well-established accountancy practice in Norwich to recruit an Accounts Assistant into their expanding team. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, develop technical skills, and build a long-term career in a firm that values its people.
The Role
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Completing VAT returns and assisting clients with day‑to‑day accounting queries
- Preparing bookkeeping records and maintaining accurate financial information using cloud‑based accounting software
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Supporting senior members of the team with client assignments and ad‑hoc projects
- Developing strong client relationships through regular communication and excellent service
- Keeping up‑to‑date with accounting standards and legislation while continuing your professional development
About You
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA, or qualified through relevant experience
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing within practice
- A team player who enjoys building lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients
