NXTGEN is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and growing accountancy practice to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager into their expanding tax team. Our Corporate Tax Manager position offers a fantastic blend of technical tax work, client relationship management, team leadership, and advisory exposure. Working closely with Partners and Directors, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, lead on complex tax matters, and support the development of both the team and wider service offering.

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will become a trusted advisor to a diverse client base ranging from owner‑managed businesses through to larger corporate groups. You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of compliance and advisory projects while helping to drive efficiencies, develop talent, and contribute to the commercial success of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a substantial portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and within agreed deadlines
  • Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and overseeing compliance for larger corporate groups
  • Leading on a variety of advisory projects including restructures, tax planning initiatives, and technical tax matters
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong long‑term relationships and providing commercially focused advice
  • Working closely with audit and business services teams to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Attending client meetings and presenting tax planning opportunities and recommendations
  • Managing workflow, resource planning, and work in progress across the team
  • Supporting fee proposals, quotations, and new business opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and championing new technologies and processes
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members, ensuring they gain the exposure and support needed to progress
  • Delivering internal training and sharing technical knowledge across the wider team
  • Supporting Partners and Directors with business development activity and contributing towards the continued growth of the tax offering
What We're Looking For:
  • ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Strong Corporate Tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing complex corporation tax work
  • Good technical knowledge across both compliance and advisory matters
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor
  • Previous experience mentoring or managing junior staff
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business growth
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and solutions focused approach
