We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing freight forwarding company who are looking to add an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to their operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid customs entry experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment and wants to be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs declarations accurately using CDS
- Process EU entries and GVMS paperwork
- Complete and manage IPAFFS documentation where required
- Ensure all customs documentation is compliant with HMRC regulations
- Liaise with customers, carriers, ports, and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance
- Monitor shipments and resolve clearance queries promptly
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong working knowledge of CDS entries
- Experience with EU customs processes
- Familiarity with IPAFFS (desirable)
- Knowledge of Destin8, CNS, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Sequoia or Boxtop systems (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple entries efficiently
