We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a long established and family run business based in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and mechanically minded individual to join a busy Workshop Services team supporting customers across the region. This is a hands on and varied role involving the servicing, repair, installation and maintenance of a wide range of garage and workshop equipment. The role would suit someone who enjoys problem solving, working independently, and delivering a high standard of customer service on site.
A fully equipped company van will be provided, alongside ongoing support and training from an experienced and supportive team. Call outs are paid at time and a half.
Key responsibilities- Servicing and repairing compressors, tyre equipment, and vehicle lifts
- Installing pipework and associated workshop systems
- Assisting with the commissioning of bulk tanks
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
- Providing professional and reliable support to customers on site
- Working independently across customer locations throughout the region
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
- Supporting customers with troubleshooting and equipment issues where required
- Good understanding of mechanics and engineering principles
- Previous experience working with workshop or garage equipment would be beneficial
- Hands on engineering or mechanical experience will be considered
- Practical and confident using tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, dependable, and customer focused approach
- Full UK driving licence required
