NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and growing professional services business based in Carlisle, which is looking to appoint an experienced recruitment manager to support its continued expansion. This is a senior, office-based role where you will lead recruitment activity for self-employed professionals, primarily within the financial services sector. You will work closely with Directors and internal teams to attract high-quality individuals who meet strict professional and regulatory standards, while also helping shape recruitment strategy and processes as the business grows.
The role:
- Take ownership of end-to-end recruitment activity, from sourcing and interviewing through to onboarding and ongoing support.
- Manage the recruitment of self-employed professionals, including experienced Financial Advisers.
- Proactively source, engage, and interview high-caliber candidates directly.
- Work to agreed annual recruitment targets set by the Directors.
- Assess candidates against fit and proper requirements, experience, and commercial performance.
- Liaise with external recruitment partners and brokers where appropriate.
- Support new joiners through onboarding and preparation for compliance and competency processes.
- Work closely with internal compliance, training, and operational teams.
- Monitor recruitment performance and identify opportunities to improve attraction and hiring processes.
- Produce insights and action plans to support continued growth of the business.
About you:
- Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within professional services or regulated sectors.
- Comfortable recruiting senior or self-employed professionals.
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills.
- Commercially aware with a focus on quality and long-term performance.
- Confident communicating at senior and director levels.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple recruitment campaigns.
- Experience of financial services or adviser recruitment is beneficial but not essential.
