Salary: £48,050 p/a with up to a 17% performance-related bonus (dependent on experience)

NXT Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established professional services firm to recruit a Business Relationship Manager. This is a key, client-facing role focused on managing and developing long-term client relationships while delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services. This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with business owners, has strong commercial awareness, and takes pride in delivering a consistently high standard of service.

The Role

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of approximately 50–100 clients
  • Deliver a consistently high-quality, proactive client service
  • Identify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and within agreed budgets
  • Plan, prepare, review, and present financial accounts to a high standard
  • Prepare business tax computations for review
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Maintain accounting records and management information as required
  • Produce management reports and provide insight to improve profitability and cash flow
  • Resolve client queries promptly and professionally
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support business planning and development
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative changes
  • Attend client premises where required and support ad-hoc projects

About You

  • Experience within accountancy or professional services
  • Strong relationship management and client-facing skills
  • Commercially aware and confident discussing solutions with clients
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Comfortable using accounts preparation and reporting software
  • Clear communicator with a professional, approachable manner
