Our client, a highly successful and well-established family-run business, is seeking an organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts experience and be confident managing day-to-day finance administration, particularly around invoice processing and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Processing and managing purchase and sales invoices
- Matching, checking, and coding invoices accurately
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Carrying out regular account and invoice reconciliations
- Assisting with payment preparation and monitoring outstanding balances
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting document filing
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar accounts-based role
- Strong experience handling invoices and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
- A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
