The Role
We are recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-established dealership in Carlisle. You will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, working with a reputable brand and within a modern, fully equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilising your technical knowledge to carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
- Complete electrical and engine repair work
- Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
- Carry out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find items relevant to the franchise brand
- Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Checks
- Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent
- Ability to complete motor vehicle repairs and routine maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work effectively within a team and ensure industry-leading customer service
- Accuracy in using our online VHC Video System
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexible ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to use own initiative and work under minimum supervision
