We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established local business, who are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Procurement Administrator to support their purchasing and stock control functions.
The role:
This is a busy and varied role where you’ll take ownership of the procurement process — from raising orders and managing supplier communication, to tracking deliveries and maintaining accurate stock levels. It’s a great opportunity to join a close-knit team and contribute to the continued success of the business.
Key responsibilities
Raising, placing, and tracking purchase orders
Managing supplier relationships and negotiating improved pricing
Maintaining stock levels and ensuring timely delivery of orders
Updating internal systems with order and contract information
Researching new suppliers and making recommendations
Supporting the wider team with contract renewals and stock availability
Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all administrative tasks
What we’re looking for
Well-presented, confident, and self-motivated
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Solid IT skills – especially Excel, Outlook, and general system use
Experience in procurement, purchasing or similar administrative roles is desirable
