This vacancy is within the Competence Center Crypto & Security (CCC&S) organization. You will be part of a highly specialised digital design team focused on research and development of future security solutions, ranging from individual IP blocks to complete secure subsystems with strong end-to-end security. We are looking for a highly motivated graduate to join our Digital Design Team. In this role, you will work closely with and be mentored by Senior Engineers, gaining hands-on experience in the design and verification of cryptographic algorithms and secure digital systems. Graduates joining the team will benefit from a structured training programme and technical mentoring, designed to support your development and enable you to be successful in this role and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writing Verilog code to describe digital circuits
  • Simulating digital designs using state-of-the-art EDA tools
  • Synthesising designs using industry-standard tools and optimising for area, power, and performance
  • Writing SystemVerilog testbenches to verify functionality
  • Working closely with senior team members throughout the full design and verification flow
  • Growing and developing within the team

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s or Honours degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • An interest in, and basic understanding of, IC digital design
  • Preferably some understanding of microcontroller architecture and fundamental IC design concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
