As the Depot Manager you will lead a General Haulage operation developing profitability and performance across a sizeable operation. The successful candidate will have an operational knowledge of transport while also having sound commercial skills in terms of driving operational profitability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver improving financial performance for the operation & finding opportunities to increase profitability
  • Engage and work closely with key internal stakeholders to improve cohesion
  • Improve an already strong customer centric approach with a focus on driver behaviours
  • Take full independent compliance responsibility and proactively tackle any issues to ensure highest operational standards
  • Ensure that all relevant legislative requirements are adhered to by all staff and standards are at the highest level possible
  • Prepare annual budgets and report on monthly financial performance of the operation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience within either a general haulage or commercial transport operation
  • Detailed knowledge of legal compliance and experience independently running a transport operation
  • Experience of managing costs/budgets is an advantage
  • An ability to build customer relationships is an advantage

You will receive a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience.
