Test Automation Architect – Blue Yonder WMS 6 month contract Inside IR35 2 days on site - Midlands Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the testing strategy for a large-scale Blue Yonder WMS transformation programme. You will define and drive end-to-end test automation across WMS, integrations, and supply chain systems, ensuring quality throughout delivery. Key Responsibilities Define and implement the test automation strategy and roadmap. Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. Drive end-to-end automated testing across WMS and connected platforms. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left testing. Establish automation standards, tools, and best practices. Lead defect management, test data strategy, and environment planning. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to automation teams. Track automation effectiveness, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Experience Proven experience in test automation architecture and framework design. Strong knowledge of Selenium, Cypress, Playwright , Rest Assured, or similar tools. Hands-on experience with API and integration test automation. Experience with Blue Yonder WMS or comparable enterprise WMS platforms. Strong programming skills (Java, TypeScript , Python, or JavaScript). Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Good understanding of Agile/SAFe and DevOps practices. Cloud experience (Azure or AWS). Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Desirable Experience Blue Yonder WMS implementation or upgrade projects. Retail and supply chain environments. Performance testing within WMS ecosystems. Data migration and validation activities. Cloud-based testing and DevOps delivery models.
