The Warehouse Solution Design Engineer will focus on working with new business pursuits as well as existing operations from a data driven approach. You will work on creating processes, designing layouts and calculating requirements using the relevant technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process data to calculate space requirements, considering site availability, and storage options against customer data profile.
- Process data to calculate headcount/automation requirements, considering site characteristics, using methodology to build productivity rates and understanding the impacts of the operation on any design work.
- Attend industry associated exhibitions and conferences to obtain information on the market and creative trends. Engage with suppliers and work closely with the Senior Management Teams to consult and explore the development of new business services.
- Attend meetings and work with existing clients as required to ensure that good business relationships are maintained, taking an active role in reviewing data, assessing customer profiles and helping optimise/alter operational processes with both a commercial and operational awareness.
- Taking an active role in new business implementations ensuring that the solution concept sold is implemented.
- Researching into new innovations within the industry.
- Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
Experience
- Previous experience working within a Warehouse based Solution Design role is essential.
- Have previously worked within a contract logistics environment.
