Transport Manager - Nights in Chelmsford

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the running of a safe and busy depot environment as the senior escalation point on nights
• Ensure best in practice processes are followed across the operation with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Report and investigate incidents within the operation and find solutions proactively
• Manage drivers and depot function across a busy transport operation
• Oversee a national haulage network performance across nights

Skills Needed for the role:

• A background in operational transport management with a transport management CPC necessary
• Experience within commercial transport is advantageous
• Knowledge of transport compliance is essential
• An understanding of operational profitability would be an advantage
• A background in road haulage is preferred
