Reporting into the Senior Bid Manager, you will initially focus on the multi-billion pound public sector client, whilst also supporting an array of strategic/public sector bids.
The core purpose is to translate complex logistics, engineering, and digital solution designs into high-scoring, compliant, and compelling narrative responses. Key Responsibilities:- Content Creation: Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality technical responses. Ensure all narratives are articulate, concise, and persuasive.
- SME Extraction: Proactively interview and interrogate internal Subject Matter Experts (Operations, IT, HR, Supply Chain) to extract the technical detail required to answer complex questions.
- Compliance & Scoring: Analyse tender questions to break down requirements, ensuring every sentence contributes to the scoring methodology and full compliance with customer standards.
- Storyboarding: Lead storyboard sessions to structure answers before writing begins, ensuring the ‘Win Strategy’ and ‘Ghosting’ of competitors are embedded in the draft.
- Convert internal terminology into client-facing benefits.
- Version Control: Manage the rigorous document control required for high-security bids, ensuring security classification handling.
- Sector Insight: Incorporate knowledge of the sector landscapes into responses to demonstrate deep customer understanding.
- You must have previously worked as a Bid Manager, Coordinator or Writer.
