Transport Solution Design Manager Up to £60,000 Car Allowance Bonus Remote with UK Travel Are you a Transport Solution Designer looking for development and progression with a global leading brand? In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge transport solutions that deliver tangible value, efficiency, and sustainability for our diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design & Development: Analyse customer requirements and operational data to design robust, cost-effective, and innovative transport and distribution solutions. This includes network modeling, fleet optimisation, and the integration of new technologies. Data-Driven Analysis: Utilise your strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and model various transport scenarios to inform your proposed solutions. Costing & Commercial Acumen: Develop detailed cost models and compelling commercial proposals for new and existing clients, ensuring solutions are financially viable and deliver a strong return on investment. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including business development teams, operations managers, and clients, to understand their needs and ensure the successful implementation of your designs. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimise existing transport operations, drive efficiencies, and enhance service levels. Innovation & Best Practice: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transport and logistics. Project Support: Provide expert support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation and post-launch review. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a transport or logistics solution design role, preferably within a 3PL or similar fast-paced logistics environment. Strong analytical and data modeling skills, with proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Paragon modeling software, advanced Excel). A solid understanding of transport operations, including carrier management, network planning, and transport legislation. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to a variety of audiences. A commercial mindset with experience in developing costings and proposals.
