We are currently supporting a financial services organisation who require a Full Stack Engineer to help build and enhance cloud native applications using Java, React, Quarkus and Google Cloud Platform.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Java and Quarkus.
- Build responsive front‑end components using React.
- Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Work within event‑driven and distributed system architectures.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot performance, integration and application issues.
- Support automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Experience Required
- Strong commercial experience with Java and modern backend development.
- Experience building microservices and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of React and modern front‑end development.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of event‑driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience with containerisation and automated software delivery.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and software design principles.
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery teams.
