- Coordinate Global Cargo Flows: Bring together shipments from multiple branches and customers, ensuring cargo is routed efficiently and departures remain on schedule.
- Manage Airline Relationships: Secure bookings, manage capacity allocations, and work closely with carrier partners to achieve the best operational and commercial outcomes.
- Keep Freight Moving: Monitor cargo milestones, flight schedules, cut-off times, and uplift performance to ensure smooth execution and timely departures.
- Deliver Operational Excellence: Prepare and validate MAWBs, HAWBs, manifests, customs documentation, and all export paperwork to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Support High-Value Shipments: Coordinate specialist cargo including pharmaceutical shipments, GDP freight, and Dangerous Goods, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Make Commercially Smart Decisions: Optimise carrier selection, routing strategies, and consolidation opportunities to balance service performance and profitability.
- Improve Performance: Identify opportunities to enhance gateway efficiency, streamline processes, and contribute to the ongoing development of our air freight operation.
What We're Looking For
- Air Freight Expertise: Strong operational experience within Air Export, ideally including gateway, consolidation, or groupage operations.
- Consolidation & Capacity Knowledge: Experience managing airline bookings, carrier relationships, and consolidation planning.
- Commercial Awareness: Ability to balance operational requirements with cost efficiency and service delivery objectives.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of aviation security, customs procedures, export controls, and international air freight regulations.
- Strong Communication Skills: Confident working with customers, overseas offices, airlines, and internal stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Analytical & Solution Focused: Comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Organised & Resilient: Able to prioritise competing demands and perform under pressure in a time-critical operation.
- Flexibility: Available to provide occasional Saturday cover as part of the gateway operation.
