We are offering a secondment opportunity within the Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport Team at Hywel Dda University Health Board and forms part of a wider Scan for Safety team. The role focuses on supporting projects that improve patient safety and supply chain processes using scanning technology and digital tracking systems. The post is a fixed‑term/secondment for 7 months. Applicants must obtain permission from their current line manager prior to applying. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.

Main duties of the job:

  • To be responsible for the development of the Materials Management systems across the Health Board, leading Materials Management staff based on all sites.
  • This also involves working with senior nursing staff, clinical governance leads and other stakeholders.
  • To develop and deliver detailed information from the Inventory Management (Scan 4 Safety) systems to inform decisions on configuration and usage to maximise stockholding efficiency and accessibility of clinical.
