The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

An exciting and diverse role focused on supporting health & safety across NWSSP. The successful candidate will manage investigations, risk assessment, incident response, audits, day‑to‑day enquiries, site visits across Wales, coordinate meetings, and chair group meetings in the absence of the Health & Safety Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Manage user access to the NWSSP Datix Cymru system, producing dashboards and reports.
  • Carry out health and safety site visits/inspections across Wales using the established framework.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare papers and agendas for health & safety groups.
  • Chair group meetings in the absence of the NWSSP Health & Safety Manager.
  • Travel to NWSSP and other locations across Wales as required.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Degree in business administration, management related subject or equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
  • Microsoft intermediate qualification in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint or equivalent knowledge.
  • Familiarisation with claims management processes (desirable).
  • Risk Management Qualification (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of NHS support services functions, including warehousing & distribution (desirable).

Experience

  • Experience working in an administrative capacity.
  • Experience providing training on processes in a one‑to‑one setting.
  • Substantial experience in a health & safety support role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce complex reports.
  • Experience working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Adaptability and innovative problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience working in the NHS (desirable).
  • Familiarisation with RLDatix or incident management systems (desirable).
