This is an exciting opportunity to work with Digital Learning Wales, which is a small dynamic team. The team are responsible for the development of digital resources within NHS Wales. The postholder will work with Subject Matter Leads in the development of clinical and non-clinical digital resources. You will assist in the maintenance of 2 learning management systems that are in use for NHS and Public Sector Wales. The postholder will liaise with users to support the use of digital learning resources.

This post is fixed term until 31st March 2027 due to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

This will involve supporting and project managing, co-ordinating, developing, promoting and delivering the Digital Learning resources for NHS Wales. This will include elearning design and maintenance. Liaising with a variety of Subject Leads on both clinical and non-clinical content. Development of documentation to support the use of digital resources and learning management systems. Supporting users and Subject Leads on technical queries involving elearning and making recommendations on the user of digital resources and learning management systems.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of NHS Staff and external parties i.e. Universities, Primary Care, 3rd sector, Welsh Government and Local Authorities, providing them with training, advice and support.
• Learn new IT systems quickly and maintain that knowledge. Maintain up to date knowledge and research on the developments in technology based solutions and make recommendations and where appropriate, implement the most appropriate solutions for the business
• Extensive liaison with technology experts internally and externally, UK Wide
• Represent NWSSP at internal and external meetings as required by the Digital Learning Manager.
• The post holder will attend, on a regular basis, various group to advise on the process for e learning development, support and delivery.
• Attend various Conferences, Workshops, Presentations and formal launches for the Digital Learner Strategy.
• The postholder must have e Learning and Train the Trainer delivery skills qualification with experience of delivering IT or web training or equivalent
• Cascade training to trainers in the field who support Digital Learning services.
• The postholder will provide training and delivery as and when, to NHS staff to ensure their competence in the use of systems as required. There will also be a requirement to train external organisations as a part of an income generation scheme
