An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services, Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport Team function as a Business Administration Officer for the Health Courier Services (HCS). The postholder will be primarily responsible for providing high quality business administrative support to HCS. The base for the position will be Denbigh NHS Regional Stores.
Main duties of the job:
- The successful applicant will have previous experience working in a similar capacity, ideally in a Supply Chain/Transport function.
- The postholder will be the first point of contact for HCS administrative tasks and dealing with routine queries including raising requisitions on Oracle.
- The postholder will be responsible for obtaining quotations for required goods and services and work with the Procurement team to ensure goods/services are delivered as required.
- As teams are based across Wales, good communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships is essential.
- The postholder will be able to respond efficiently and effectively to requests made by service users to assist in the smooth operation of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications:
- NVQ/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply/CILT (Certificate in Logistics Transport)/ Certificate in Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Knowledge and training in use of Oracle or equivalent system
Experience:
- Experience in Administration processes and procedures in a fast paced office environment
- Experience in fleet and logistics administration
Skills:
- High standard of verbal and written communication skills - ability to convey and receive information and complete all necessary documentation actions accurately, legibly within required timescales
- Logical with common sense approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision or as a member of a team
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
- Ability to travel independently to other sites. There may be an occasional requirement to travel e.g. to attend meetings/training at other locations
