Working at the heart of a major national transformation programme, you'll help drive the next generation of NHS workforce solutions, ensuring data and technology deliver real value for organisations, managers and employees. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to contribute to workforce system change across NHS Wales. The postholder will support delivery of implementation activity across a defined group of organisations, supporting health boards and trusts to prepare for transition, implementation and early adoption. Working alongside NHS organisations, NHSBSA and suppliers, this role will be pivotal in ensuring the data is fit for purpose, supporting data cleanse activities, identifying data sets to prioritise and data mapping.
You will support implementation activity using agreed data sets, validating information, follow up action plans and help organisations progress implementation. Working with the Programme Managers, NHS organisations, NHSBSA and suppliers supporting rollout activity and maintain focus on agreed timescales, governance requirements and project objectives. You will work with NHS organisations to support effective use of the current workforce system while preparing for the future solution. This includes providing practical guidance and follow-up on agreed actions that strengthen local capability, readiness and adoption.
The role will support reporting, monitoring and tracking data quality to enable governance and decision-making, including visibility of readiness, implementation status and emerging risks. You will monitor progress, identify where corrective action may be required and contribute to continuous improvement, training, audit and successful project delivery.

This post is a fixed term/secondment for 18 months from the start date due to funding. Qualifications & Knowledge Essential criteria:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Specialist technical knowledge of programming/query Languages
- Excellent knowledge of data warehousing, relational databases, information systems and software packages
Experience Essential criteria:
- Proven record of delivery in an information based environment
- Experience of working to deadlines in a customer focused environment.
Desirable criteria:
- Understanding and utilisation of Oracle Fusion
Skills & Attributes Essential criteria:
- Effective communication skills demonstrating a variety of approaches in order to convey key messages to influence decision making
- Ability to develop and present information in own area of expertise to senior health professionals using presentational aids
Other Essential criteria:
- Travel around Wales, and possibly further afield on a regular basis
Desirable criteria:
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
