We are seeking a qualified lawyer in the field of employment law to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case management of a range of employment law matters from the initial advice request to the issue of the Employment Tribunal (ET) claim, settlement, or trial.
  • Review and analyze HR documents, medical records, and other relevant materials.
  • Identify, instruct, and liaise with experts and counsel.
  • Draft tribunal documents and advice to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and attend courts or tribunals under appropriate supervision.
  • Enter and maintain relevant information in the case management system.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Law degree or equivalent, or CILEX qualification.
  • Professional qualification such as LPC or equivalent CPE/CILEX, or a desire to obtain such credentials.
  • Experience working to deadlines and within an employment law team (desirable).
  • Strong IT skills and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in all formats, including plain English.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organise own work and to recognise own capabilities.
  • Confidence in liaising and communicating with internal and external personnel at all levels.

Desirable Attributes

  • Document drafting experience.
  • Knowledge of courts and litigation process.
  • Understanding of the structure of the NHS.
  • Welsh language skills at levels 1–5 in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding.
  • Friendly and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
