The main base will be Bridgend Central Stores, Princess of Wales Hospital, Coity Road, Bridgend CF31 1UZ. The role is a Peripatetic and will cover Aneurin Bevan / Cardiff & Vale / Cwm Taf / Swansea Bay / Hywel Dda University Health Board sites, as and when required.
Main duties of the job:
- Work under own initiative (without close supervision) but with the day‑to‑day support from the Materials Managers/Project Team and senior staff members, across Health Board sites.
- Communicate effectively to stakeholders, suppliers, various departments, and senior members of staff.
- Provide support across all ‘go‑live’ sites.
- Manage and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained, within wards/departments and assist with reviewing par levels on a regular basis.
- Assist Stock Controllers with achieving rationalisation of stock by optimising stock levels and dealing with slow or non‑moving stock.
- Ensure system generated cycle count tasks for checking stock quantities are monitored and actioned daily.
- Resolve queries with stock issues, including stock deficiency, damaged goods, and unclear orders, using own initiative and provide advice for corrective procedures to minimise the risk for future events.
- Utilise various computer systems that assist with the implementation of Scan for Safety.
