The predicted salary is between 32000 - 44800 £ per year.

Hours– Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary– Starting from £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location:Mayfield, Dalkeith or Newcastle area

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team The NWH Group! Do you want to work for a business which puts safety and compliance at the forefront of everything? Job Activities:

  • Perform scheduled service inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and address breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with environmental, health, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service while working on-site.
  • Attend training sessions to remain updated on new products and repair techniques.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ2 or NVQ3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent).
  • Have experience in maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
  • Be proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess a full, valid driving licence (essential).
  • Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

The company

The NWH Group is a second-generation family business headquartered in Midlothian. Servicing the whole of Scotland and the north east of England from ten sites, the NWH Group’s vision is to eliminate waste by transforming it into a valuable product.

On this journey to eliminate waste we provide waste collection services to the Commercial & Industrial, Office, Leisure & Retail and Construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, we transport materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.
