We are looking for newly qualified HGV drivers to join our team at The NWH Group! We are one of the UK’s leading recycling and waste management businesses with a mission to change our industry for the benefit of the planet. We understand the difficulties drivers can face trying to get into an HGV driving role without years of experience. Fed up with being offered low pay because you have no experience? We aim to change that at The NWH Group.

We strongly believe in the development and promotion of our staff, and therefore we have rolled out our trainee driver scheme. We are looking for HGV drivers who have their HGV license and some commercial driving experience (not necessarily in an HGV). Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience.

The Pay: £12.60 per hour for the first 8 hours, then time and a half afterwards. Overtime options available when required.

What we will do for you:

  • Assign you to our Tipper or Skips fleet
  • Provide 5 weeks of training and a dedicated mentor
  • After training completion, move you to a full-time driver rate
  • Require passing a driving assessment before training to ensure suitability
  • Offer an Employee Benefit Scheme

The culture: You can’t describe culture; you have to feel it. Before deciding to apply, why not watch some of our videos here: Currently, this scheme is rolled out in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We are only accepting applications from this area.
