About the Role
Electrical Maintenance Technician. Permanent role with 37 core hours per week. Location: base at Cramlington, Northumberland with travel to sites across the area. Mobile worker with van and fuel card provided.
We are looking to recruit Electrical Technicians to join Northumbrian Water Group’s Maintenance team based out of Cramlington. No two days are the same, with opportunities to use your expertise in fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to improve plant availability. You will operate on a mobile basis with a provided van and equipment to minimise plant downtime. The role requires participation in an out-of-hours standby rota, with additional payments for standby, callouts and extra hours worked.
Northumbrian Water Group offers training, development and internal progression opportunities, with support from close-knit teams and leadership.
About You
- Time-served Electrical Technician educated to at least ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Maintenance background in reactive breakdowns and planned work; able to read and fault-find from electrical drawings, identify sources of faults and replace components.
- Can-do attitude, willingness to learn, hands-on practical approach and good problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Strong Health and Safety ethic.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
What We Will Give You
You will have the potential to receive payment for up to 4 Technical Modules (£1,500 per module per year) with expectation that each Technician will achieve a minimum of 2 modules within 3 years.
