As Production Coordinator, you will provide leadership and operational direction for the Contract Packing team, overseeing a busy packing line. You will lead a small, diverse workforce of colleagues and ensure that the site’s operational structures, culture, and performance consistently meet business and customer expectations. Working closely with the Contract Packing manager, you will shape and deliver the warehouse's strategy, ensuring seamless end-to-end service and strong commercial and operational outcomes.

Day to Day

  • Lead and motivate the Production teams within the warehouse, ensuring high standards of performance, attendance, and conduct.
  • Allocate daily workloads and monitor completion of VAS service tasks including picking, packing, loading, unloading and courier labelling to the company and customer specifications and driving weekly KPI’s.
  • Ensuring all processes and procedures are followed in line with company policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Support team members with training, coaching and mentoring to encourage engagement, development and the upholding of performance standards.
  • Managing a Live pick-well with strict deadlines.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other warehouse functions and internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • Build and maintain a strong and effective working relationship with the VAS warehouse.
  • Carry out periodic audits of operational activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvements.
  • Operate MHE in line with training and licensing requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the team’s attendance and performance in accordance with company policies, as well as planning staff rotas and holiday requests.

What will you bring?

  • Experience managing a team within a production, warehousing or similar fast-paced operational environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse activities, picking/packing, 3PL and stock systems (WMS, SAP, Optima).
  • Demonstrable commitment to high standards in H&S.
  • Forklift, reach truck or relevant equipment license would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure, strict daily deadlines, prioritise tasks, and solve problems proactively.
