As a Press Operative you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of compound animal feed products. Based out of our site in Wardle on a permanent full-time basis working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern rotating day and night shifts.

Day to Day:
- Ensure adequate finished product is available to fulfil daily customer/site requirements.
- Operation of the control system – DSL, pressing & maintaining high efficiency meeting OEE targets, whilst reviewing & maintaining quality & feed safety at all times.
- Ensure all required data is logged correctly and follow through with any investigations and feeding back findings to Ops Management Team.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback regarding plant machinery conditions using the near miss app.
- Support engineering with routine maintenance including die and beater changes and other maintenance when required.
- Carry out on-site hygiene & maintenance activities to the highest standards ensuring relevant documentation is completed and adhere to government/policy standards.
- Ensure UFAS and all associated legislative compliance is fulfilled.
What will you bring?
- Previous experience operating machinery including press would be advantageous
- Experience of operating a forklift would be advantageous
- Comfortable on your feet, this is a physically demanding role
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety best practice
- Positive and proactive approach
