Governance Assistant – Wardle NWF Group are recruiting for a Governance Assistant to work at the Head Office in Crewe. This role presents a unique opportunity to embark on and develop a career in corporate governance and company secretarial duties. This role will report to the Assistant Company Secretary. You will work closely with the Assistant Company Secretary and Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. As part of the role, there will be the possibility to study a professional qualification to further your professional development; full study support will be provided. Responsibilities: General Providing administrative support to the Assistant Company Secretary and Group General Counsel and Company Secretary including but not limited to: property administration (including drainage and rates), GDPR compliance. Assisting with the organisation and maintenance of electronic and physical filing systems for corporate documents. Assisting with the administration of the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Supporting theAssistant Company Secretary and Group General Counsel and Company Secretarywith corporate transactions. Assisting with internal procedure reviews and updates as required. Entity Administration Assisting with entity management (hive ups, strike offs etc.). Supporting with updating and maintaining the internal statutory registers and records. Compliance Coordinating the completion of packaging waste submissions and licence renewals (to include CLA, PPL PRS, data protection registrations etc.). Updating and maintaining internal Secretarial logs, including but not limited to the Gifts and Hospitality Register, and the Data Breach log. Monitoring the results of statutory inspections and ensuring rectification actions are completed timely as required. Insurance Coordinating surveys, review meetings and claim reduction/risk management exercises. Ensuring the timely completion of survey requirements and recommendations (as appropriate) in conjunction with other relevant teams (Operations, divisional H&S etc.) by way of a requirement and recommendation tracker. Regularly updating brokers on progress of required actions. Reporting incidents to insurers in line with Company process (including EL, PL, property claims, hospital attendances and RIDDOR reportable incidents). Conducting semi-annual checks of fleet insurance listings against internal records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Liaising with business points of contact as required to progress uninsured loss claims. Operators Licences Point of contact for operators licence administration. Conducting semi-annual fleet checksagainst internal records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
