The Role

As our Care Recruitment Officer, you will own the full recruitment cycle — from attraction and sourcing right through to offer and onboarding. You'll be the face of Nwando Care at job fairs, Jobcentre Plus events, and community outreach activities across North London and beyond. You'll build relationships with DWP Work Coaches, attend employer engagement events, manage our job board presence, and launch our staff referral programme — all while ensuring every hire meets CQC Regulation 19 / Schedule 3 compliance standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Attending job fairs and community employment events across London — minimum 2 per month
  • Building and managing our relationship with local Jobcentre Plus offices (DWP employer engagement)
  • Posting and managing job adverts on Indeed, Reed, CV-Library, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Creating engaging employer brand content on social media to attract care workers
  • Conducting telephone screening interviews and coordinating face-to-face interviews
  • Managing all pre-employment compliance checks: Enhanced DBS, Right to Work, references, employment history (CQC Regulation 19 / Schedule 3)
  • Onboarding new starters and coordinating their induction programmes
  • Running our staff referral scheme to generate pipeline through word of mouth
  • Producing weekly recruitment dashboards and reporting to the Director
  • Proactively building a warm candidate pipeline of 20+ prospective care workers at all times
