Reporting directly to the Head of Deployment, you will be responsible for managing multiple installation projects. You will provide leadership and direction to ensure successful delivery of projects across the UK and globally, with accountability for cost, time and quality. You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.

Teamwork is key within this role. You will collaborate closely across departments, mentor colleagues, and foster a culture of shared success and continuous improvement. A core aspect of this position is the responsibility to pass on knowledge and expertise to colleagues, supporting the upskilling of team members and contributing to the development of best practices within the Deployment function.

The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in order to deliver in line with customer expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will demonstrate flexibility in adapting to fast-paced changes, shifting priorities, and challenging deadlines, acting as the escalation point during critical phases of project rollouts.

A hands-on approach is required, including supporting campaign activations and overseeing warehouse operations such as picking, packing, logistics coordination, and dispatch. You will ensure adherence to standard processes while proactively identifying potential issues, mitigating risks, and escalating when appropriate.

The position also involves leading programme management activities including project reporting, financial tracking, and risk management, with a solutions-oriented mindset and confident decision-making ability. You will continuously seek opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, enhance client experience, and contribute to the strategic development of the Deployment function.

Out-of-Hours / Flexibility Requirement

The role may also require occasional travel (UK & international) to oversee on-site installations, provide leadership presence, and ensure successful project execution. You will need to be flexible in working hours, including early starts or late finishes, to meet project needs and deadlines. This may occasionally involve working outside standard business hours.

Responsibilities:

  • The role involves you managing your own time, working collaboratively with key business users.
  • Co-ordinating, administering and activating installation projects, with a focus on quality.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, partners and internal colleagues, delivering quick effective communication at all times.
  • Create deployment project briefs, RAMS and SOW.
  • Oversee the daily quality control (QC) compliance, reacting quickly to any obstacles and challenges.
  • Organising and booking installations into retail chains, liaising with store managers and key department contacts.
  • Ensure the delivery of deployment works on site is being carried out correctly.
  • Assessing tasks, resource requirements, ordering fulfilment items and creating picking lists.
  • Responsible for creating suppliers POs and handling commercials such as budget management and preparing quotes.
  • Analysing project progress and, when necessary, adapting scope/timelines and costs.
  • Producing compliance reports (internal and external).

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering multiple small to large-scale installation projects, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide, coach, and pass on knowledge to colleagues at all levels to support team growth and capability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Hands-on operational experience, including warehouse coordination, logistics oversight, and on-site project support (picking, packing, and dispatch).
  • Problem-solving mindset, able to anticipate issues, manage risks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Analytical and reporting skills, with experience in tracking project budgets, timelines, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how deployment activities impact cost, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Monday, Smartsheet, Jira, Zendesk or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel in the UK to support and oversee project execution.
  • Resilience and positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Professional project management certification desirable, such as PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent.
  • Background in the retail display / Point of Purchase (POP) industry.
  • Experience using Team Haven or similar field project management tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data, reporting, and project tracking.
  • Understanding of production and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Health & Safety awareness or certification.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • 4+ years' experience managing installation projects from initiation to completion, ideally within the retail display / Point of Purchase (POP) industry.
  • Previous knowledge of booking into retailer chains, shopping centres, and site access systems, including preparation of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), Statements of Work, and Scopes of Work.
