NW Recruitment Services Ltd are working exclusively in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturer and supplier specialising in bespoke joinery and commercial interior fit-out solutions. Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Working Site Foreman to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional with a strong background in joinery, interior fit-outs, and site supervision to take ownership of projects (Northwest focus primarily, ad hoc national works).

About the role: As a Working Site Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of workmanship. This is a hands-on role that combines site supervision with practical involvement, requiring candidates to lead by example while coordinating site teams, subcontractors, materials, and project timelines. The role will involve travel and working away from home depending on project requirements, typically for periods of 6 – 8 weeks at a time, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be available depending on project requirements and may (infrequently) include weekend and night work where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for site health & safety, including sub-contractors and compliance alongside company procedures
- Supervise and coordinate all onsite operations to ensure projects progress in line with programme deadlines
- Oversee and manage sub-contractors, tradespeople, and site staff
- Resolve onsite issues quickly and effectively as they arise
- Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and specifications
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and plans
- Liaise with the finance and procurement department to order materials and ensure timely delivery to site
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage delays or operational challenges
- Attend and contribute to planning and progress meetings with senior management
- Act as the key onsite point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintain communication with senior management regarding project progress - updates, reports, and feedback from site activities
- Ensure excellent professional standards are maintained when dealing with clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- Valid CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong technical and practical knowledge of the joinery industry
- Experience supervising projects within retail, commercial, and residential environments
