Pay rate: £16.00+ (rate to be agreed following on site interview) - holiday pay additional to hourly rates
Shifts available: Days - Monday to Friday
Term: Full-time, permanent (12-week initial temp period through NW Recruitment Services acts as probationary period for a permanent role after 12 weeks)
NW Recruitment Services Ltd are currently exclusively in partnership with a well-established transport and logistics operation in the Preston area aiding the recruitment of HGV Drivers (Class 1 and 2).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and professional transport team offering regular work, modern vehicles, and ongoing support.
The roles:
- Driving Class 1 articulated vehicles (44T) on scheduled delivery routes
- Completing vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently, reporting any discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate transport and tachograph records in line with assimilated rules
- Securing loads correctly and following all transport compliance procedures
- Liaising with the transport office regarding route updates and delivery times
